Like a lot of people out there, I’m sure you’re tempted by “get rich quick” schemes. Most people want an easy way to increase their standard of living while their work-load either stays the same or decreases. It’s a dream that I’m sure most people are willing to admit to at some level or another. Here’s the problem – most of these schemes are in-fact too good to be true. Try as we might, most of these ideas or programs just fall flat. So how are we supposed to get rich? Work hard? Invest? Win the Lottery? I’ve come up with three ideas that may or may not work for everybody, but have the potential to give your bank account some wiggle room: Read the rest of this entry »

As of today, there are exactly two weeks left until we leave our cute little house in the city of Saskatoon. It’s been a great house to us. We’ve made improvements here and there – adding an actual house number to the exterior, upgrading a dieing mailbox, installing laminate flooring to replace hideous carpets, just to name a few things. Quite a few great memories have been accumulated in this house already. It’s been our family’s first house – Markus and Wyatt have never lived anywhere else yet. The Family

A week ago today, on August 1st, 2007, my beautiful wife gave birth to our second son. His name is Wyatt Albert Bitner. He was born at 7:16 pm and weighed in at 9 pounds 2 ounces. Thankfully over the past week, he’s been giving us more sleep than Markus did. Kim’s only had to get up an average of 3 times per night. I usually get up if Markus needs settling while Kim gets Wyatt ready for feeding. So far it’s been really fun. Markus loves his new little brother and is so proud of him. He says “bay” instead of baby and loves to tickle him. Markus is always making sure that we know when the baby is crying, even if it’s blatantly obvious. I’m really glad I’ve been able to stay home so long this time to help out. Hopefully things will be just as fun for Kim at home once I have to go back to work.
