So if you’ve been reading my wife’s blog, you would know that we’re planning on moving to the small town of Dalmeny.
We love the house we live in now, but it’s time for a change. In my opinion, small towns are much better for raising kids. I’d feel much more comfortable with Markus playing outside or riding his bike in Dalmeny rather than in our current area. We’re also looking to make a bit of money by moving since our house is worth more now than when we bought it.
So we’re on the lookout for a house under $95,000. We might have found one, but we’re not sure about it yet. Our hopes are very high, but we were dissapointed by the last prospect, so we’ll see what happens.
In other news: The chains of software piracy are finally off of me. Last week I wiped my computer at home and got rid of all my pireted software and music. Good bye Photoshop, Good bye Dreamweaver, Good bye Flash, Good bye all those other awesome programs. The heavy weight has finally been lifted. I just couldn’t ignore my conscience or the Holy Spirit’s conviction any longer. I did it, and it feels great. So now the only problem is that I’m without software that I use on a regular basis. Time to start saving. I’m really hoping we can make some money on selling our house so we can legally buy the software again. $2000-4000 of software isn’t easy to save up for, and I wish it wasn’t so expensive, but them’s the breaks. I feel better for doing it, and know that it was God’s will. I didn’t want to hinder His plan for my life and the life of my family (and company that I work for). For anyone who thinks it can’t be done, the chains can’t come off, well, they can, and it feels great to do it. God never gives you more than you can handle.
