Update anyone

Wow, I haven’t updated this thing in quite a while. Not many people read it anymore, so it kinda seems useless…but maybe it’s cause I haven’t updated in a long time. Good old spiral thing I guess. So anywho, I’m updating it now.

Great news! I’m gonna be a dad in March of 2006! If you read My Wife’s Blog, you’ll already know that she’s pregnant. It’s such a joy to know that we’re going to be parents! I think Kim’s going to be a great mom, and I’m ready to let God teach us both how we can best serve Him through parenting.

Kim and I just celebrated our anniversary on Sunday. That was great! I love being married to her. She’s the best wife I could ever ask for, and I’m so glad I get to spend the rest of my life as her husband. It’s such a joy to serve her and I hope I can continue to rise to the challenge of serving her the way Christ asks us husbands to serve our wives.

Since I’ve moved from Edmonton, God shakes me up every once in a while and asks me, “Why don’t you drum for me the way you used to? When are you going to start using that gift I gave you – the way I meant for it to be used?” So now, more than a year later, I’ve joined a band. Soon after, another band came along, so I joined them too, only to find that one of the band members is very hard to get along with, and it just wasn’t productive. So I left that band, but I’m still with the first band, Third Hour. We haven’t had much time to practice collectively, but hopefully we can change that this weekend and start practicing every Saturday. It’s hard to juggle being married, and soon being a dad, working, and playing in a band, but I know God’s called me to do all these things, and He doesn’t give more than I can handle, so even though it sometimes stresses me, I know it’ll all be okay.
