I can’t believe I’ve gone this long without posting anything. 2 months with no posts.
In that time I’ve been learning a lot and growing a lot and life has been busy, yet still great.
My wonderful wife just keeps getting better and better. We’re growing together a lot and working through issues we didn’t think we’d have to deal with. God is keeping us strong and makes our union stronger all the time. After 5 months of marriage, I’m still absolutely loving it, and I’m sure I will for a long time yet. How could I not love being married to the best wife ever? My wife treats me so well and is constantly growing and learning to love me even more! I love her so much, and I hope that I’m doing as good a job at being a husband. I have so much fun with her and she’s the best friend I could have.
Work is getting busy busy busy, but at the same time, it’s not as draining as past jobs I’ve had. It is still fun and I’m glad I’m working where I am. It’s a great group of guys in the office here, and with most of them being Christian, I don’t have to worry about offending anyone when I blast my worship music as I work. Yay! Praising God while I work is the only way I could get all this stuff done!
In January I started Kung Fu up again, and I’m looking forward to being in shape again. I didn’t realize how much of my abilities that I’ve lost until I tried to do them again. D’oh! So this will be very good as I’ll be stronger again, and hopefully won’t have to worry about asthma, heartburn, and back problems as much as a result of a healthier body.
Who likes movies?
I do!
Three great movies that I’ve seen recently are totally awesome.
1) Napoleon Dynamite – WOW! Best Comedy EVER!!! No bad language, no sex, no bathroom humour. And It’s still funny!
2) Hotel Rwanda – Awesome story based on real events. It’s not an entertainment movie, but more of a thought provoking movie to aware people of what really went on in Rwanda during the genisides. I hadn’t a clue it was that terrible and how little the west did to help. Hopefully it’s an eyeopener for the future.
3) Primer – Best Psychological thriller I’ve seen yet. I’d rank it up there with Memento. And It’s clean too! I didn’t have to worry about picking up bad language or seeing any scantily clad women while watching it. And it was shot for only $7000! That’s crazy.
So after seeing all these great movies it got my brain ticking again and my desire to film a movie has yet again been pinching me. I’m trying to calculate my ideas and hopefully I can come up with some that are writable. If anyone wants to send me some script ideas, please do.
That’s all for me for now before I head out to Ottawa tomorrow for a conference on “The Christian response to Government”. Hopefully I’m not too lazy and I can come back and blog about some of the stuff I’ve learned.
