While I was just randomly searching on google, I came accross a band named Bitner. Weird, eh? Their website is www.bitnerband.com. Check it out. They have some mp3s to download. I wouldn’t say that they’re that great. I have no idea where they got the band name from, but I thought it was funny since none of the band members have the last name Bitner. Maybe there needs to be another Bitner band to show them how it’s done…with real Bitners!
We were meant to live for so much more
While reading through Hebrews and was hit by chapter 12, verses 28-29 which reads (MSG Translation – emphasis mine) “Do you see what we’ve got? An unshakable kingdom! And do you see how thankful we must be? Not only thankful, but brimming with worship, deeply reverent before God. For God is not an indifferent bystander. He’s actively cleaning house, torching all that needs to burn, and he won’t quit until it’s all cleansed. God himself is Fire!” The writer tells us to keep our eyes focused on God, not on the earth. Our heavenly home is an unshakable kingdom. Why would we bother to live for the things on earth when God has so much more planned for us in heaven? Sure, God gives us tastes of heaven here on earth, but we shouldn’t be satisfied with just a taste. God has done so much for me and I want to be not only thankful, but brimming with worship as well.
Moving Day was a success
Welp, I’m in my house now, and only 2 more months (and a few days) till Kim and I are married and Kim gets to move in. Woo! Overall it went well moving. It was good as far as moving day goes. Sure, there were small bumps and frustrations throughout the day, but what moving day isn’t like that? I had a lot of help from family and I’m glad I’m able to start settling in.
